I sailed on a traditional ship for the first time when I was three years old. In my childhood and adolescence, I have had planks under my feet again and again, and have been infected with the virus of sailing on traditional tall ships irretrievably. That's why I took the first opportunity to join the Eye of the Wind after I graduated. With the support of of our great crew I made my way from trainee to deckhand. The deck and the rig have become something of my second home, and after doing some shipyard work I know the ship from top to bottom now. I also got a taste of the secrets of the engine room. My most impressive voyages aboard the Eye of the Wind so far have been an Atlantic crossing and a Caribbean winter season ... but I'm sure many more beautiful trips will follow. As I grew up near the Baltic Sea coast and in a nature-loving environment, the Eye of the Wind is a great place to work - with many natural materials and at the same time a ship with a real soul.
